Robert is a well known pianist from Houston, TX. He’s collaborated with artist such as Maxwel, Musiq Soul Child, Ledisi, Erykah Badu and so much more. Making a break through with his latest album Black Radio, his music is greatly appreciated in the US to Canada to the UK.
Like most artist, Glasper found his musical talent in church as a child. With his mother influencing him, music has always been apart of his life. His mom, Kim Yvette Glasper sang jazz and blues professionally. While playing in church, he was inspired to mix church & gospel harmonies with jazz. At the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC, Glasper met neo-soul singer Bilal Oliver. They began recording together which opened doors to a variety of hip hop & R&B artist similar to Glaspers emerging jazz career.
