- Ride 2 Recovery -
About 200 veterans on bikes, recumbents and tandems departed from Arlington for the Ride 2 Recovery Memorial Challenge — a 300-plus mile ride from the Washington D.C. area to Virginia Beach. These veterans are heroes and athletes who have used cycling programs as powerful tool to help them heal.
Ride 2 Recovery (R2R), a 501(c)3, helps injured veterans improve their
health and wellness through individual and group cycling. Cycling has proven to be a catalyst in the recovery process by providing a new physical challenge while concurrently helping to cope with the mental challenges.
