Your “Fitness Friday” Exercise Program!

For Today, Monday and Wednesday of next week:

Chest and Shoulders:

 

Meal of The Day:

- Cranberry Turkey with Arugula Sandwiches -

Peppery arugula and cranberry jam makes these turkey sandwiches special enough to serve to guests…but they’re so good, you’ll want to serve them all the time.DH_Cranberry Turkeey

 

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices Whole Grain Soft Honey Oat Bread
  • 1/2 cup cranberry or mixed berry jam
  • 1/4 cup Neufchâtel cheese or light cream cheese, softened
  • Arugula leaves
  • 16 slices thinly sliced roasted turkey breast (about 12 ounces)

 Directions: 

  • Spread 4 bread slices with the jam. Spread the remaining bread slices with the cheese.
  • Divide the arugula and turkey among the cheese-topped bread slices.  Top with the jam-topped bread slices.

Fitness Expert/I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Building and Fitness) Professional Laticia “Action” Jackson has over 12 years of experience in the health and fitness field. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health, B.S. Degree in Exercise Science, A.A. Degree in Human Performance, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Specialists and Certified Medifast Health Counselor.

She’s a 3-Time N.P.C. (National Physique Committee) National Fitness Champion and 2008 Fitness Olympian. She has been featured in over 11 nationally recognized fitness publications (Oxygen, Muscle and Fitness Hers, Flex, Ironman, Muscular Development) and has made multiply television appearances as the go to fitness expert.

As a survivor of domestic violence, it has become her mission to encourage women to love themselves by providing them with tools to become fit from the inside out and the education and knowledge to build confidence by becoming healthy. As a Veteran of the U.S.A.F. her discipline and determination has catapulted her fitness and educational career to great heights. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and enjoys volunteering and giving back to her community.

Church Capitol Hill.

Ebenezer is the oldest independent Black congregation and was founded in 1827 by African Americans. We will be talking about their upcoming community health fair and 175th Anniversary of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church located at 4th and D Street SE.
