Sanaa Lathan called into the Steve Harvey Morning Show Monday morning to urge listeners to check out her latest project called Shots Fired. The 10-hour event series examines the dangerous aftermath of two racially charged shootings in the south, providing an explosive autopsy of our criminal justice system. Lathan plays the role of Ashe, a seasoned investigator.
The series is created and executive-produced by Gina Prince-Bythewood and Reggie Rock Bythewood.These two are behind projects like “Love & Basketball,” “Notorious,” “New York Undercover,” and “Get on the Bus.”
