$1,000 Grand Prize

WHUR is challenging local elementary school teachers and students to design a recycling program that teaches students at an early age about the waste we create and how it harms our environment.

Elementary School teachers are encouraged to create lesson plans that will teach students about the importance of recycling and inspire them to make recycling a part of their daily life at home, school and in their community to help save our environment. If your school community already have a plan in place we want to hear about it or invent something new!

The school with the most creative recycling program will win a $1,000.00 Gift Card to be used for immediate school needs.

Letter of permission to participate from the school Principal.
Schools can submit up to six entries - One per grade level.
Entries should not exceed two (2) pages.
Entries must be received by 6PM May 7th, 2010
