The search continues this hour in the District for the gunman who shot an ice cream
truck driver at least 7 times last night. It happened after 6 on Alabama Avenue in S.E.. The victim remains in critical condition this morning.

Police offer reward in fatal home invasion in Montgomery County…

In Montgomery county police there are offering a $10k reward for information in
last night’s fatal home invasion. The victim died at the hospital a short time later. The shooting happened on Muncaster Mill Road. There’s no word on a suspect or motif.

NAACP in Mississippi wants hate crime charges filed in a noose incident involving a black football player at school…

A noose was allegedly placed around the neck of a black football student at a school in Wiggins, Mississippi. The head of the state chapter of the NAACP Dereck Johnson wants Federal authorities to investigate the matter as a hate crime. The football coach removed one of the students involved from the team. The school system, however, has not taken any disciplinary action against those involved.
