Chair Of Black Caucus Calls Trump “Disgusting Fraud”
The chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus is calling Donald Trump a “disgusting fraud.” North Carolina Democrat G.K. Butterfield also called the Republican presidential nominee a liar during a news conference in DC. Trump has acknowledged that President Obama was born in the USA. Trump led a controversial birther movement that prompted Obama to publicly release his U.S. birth certificate in 2011. South Carolina Democrat Jim Clyburn accused Trump of heaping indignities on the nation’s first black president. California Democrat Barbara Lee called on Trump to apologize to the President.
First Lady Hits Campaign Trail For Clinton
First Lady Michelle Obama is urging Americans to ignore the “chatter and noise” and vote for the most qualified candidate for president. At a college rally for Hillary Clinton in Northern Virginia, Mrs. Obama said students must get registered and vote. She argued that Clinton will continue moving the U.S. forward. The First Lady described Clinton as a fighter who never quits.
Body Believed To Be That Of Suspected Anne Arundel Killer
The search for an alleged killer in Anne Arundel County appears to be over after the discovery of a body in Glen Burnie. Police say the body was found in a drainage ditch near where a double-stabbing on Monday night left a ten-year-old girl dead and her 13-year-old brother wounded. Investigators believe the body is that of 18-year-old suspect Andres “Andy” Garcia. The medical examiner will use an autopsy to determine a positive ID and cause of death.
Redskins Battle Cowboys At FedEx Field
NFC East rivals meet up this Sunday as Redskins battle the Cowboys at FedEx Field. The Cowboys opened the season with a 20-19 home loss to the Giants. The Redskins are working on a short week after suffering a 38-16 home setback at the hands of the Steelers on “Monday Night Football.” Washington led 6-0 after the first quarter before imploding. The ‘Skins and Cowboys split two meetings last season, each winning on the road.
