President Obama delivers his last Veteran’s Day Address…
The President has laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in honor of the men and woman who have given their lives for the freedom we all enjoy today. He later spoke at afterward in the cemetery’s amphitheater. During Obama’s first year in office with the help of Congress he approved the largest single year VA Budget in 3 years. He also made sure 1.2 million more vets received VA care or services.
Rooms are not booking for the Inauguration like in past years…
As the District prepares for President Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration area hotels are not seeing the bookings as expected. In 2008 when Barack Obama was named the President hotel rooms in the District booked up within an hour and a half. According to the “Washington Post” St. Regis hotel was expecting an on slot of calls after the race was called. Instead, they say they have only received one call and two cancellations from Hillary Clinton supporters.
The search continues for suspects in two separate shootings and a stabbing in S.E….
DC Police are still looking into 2 separate shootings and a stabbing in S.E.. last night. The victims are expected to survive. One of the shootings happened on Stanton Road and the other on Douglas Place and a male was found stabbed on Pennsylvania Avenue.
