Bus Aide Arrested On Assault Charges

A Prince George’s County school bus aide is accused of molesting children. Police charged Michael Patopie this morning with multiple counts of sexual abuse and assault. Video evidence allegedly shows the 38-year-old inappropriately kissing and touching four- and five-year-old children on the bus from James Ryder Randall Elementary School earlier this year. “NBC4” reports officials failed to act after being alerted by a bus driver about the incidents.

Police Searching For Jewelry Robbers

A Bethesda jewelry store is picking up the pieces after a pair of robbers crashed a car through the showroom. Police say the vehicle backed into the front of the Jewelry Exchange around 2:30 this morning, and stole over a dozen watches in under 30 seconds. The suspects abandoned the vehicle in the store, and fled on foot. The store’s manager hopes to have the shop reopened within the next few days.

Hamilton Hits The Road

The hottest ticket on Broadway is now making its way across the country. “Hamilton,” will be officially hitting the road with a preview in Chicago today. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical about founding father Alexander Hamilton is set to tour 12 cities in its two-year national run. The musical picked up eleven Tony Awards including best musical in August.
