Jacquie Gales Webb Bio

    Jacquie Gales Webb is the award-winning host of the number one Sunday Afternoon Gospel music program on WHUR. Jacquie has also produced two gospel CD projects as a consultant/producer for Time Life Music. She spent time creating and producing television shows at WUSA-TV and earned six local EMMYs. In addition she has produced the radio documentary Jazz Singers; the award-winning public radio series Remembering Slavery; and the Peabody Award-winning Black Radio: Telling it Like It Was. Jacquie is a graduate of Emerson College, a mother of two great daughters and a member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Washington, DC.

      Biggest Regret: I left W*USA-TV to work as a producer at the Smithsonian before I was able to book Denzel Washington to be interviewed by news anchor Maureen Bunyan. She is a big fan of Denzel’s and I tried so hard to make the interview happen. I was a W*USA-TV producer for six years.
      Best Advice: Think positive thoughts. Jesus said, “As a man thinks, so he is.”
      I Dislike: Dishonesty and Negativity.
      Something I Would Never Do Again: Drive for more than five hours by myself. I get sleepy after driving four hours.

      Biggest Pet Peeve About DC: The layout of the city is confusing. Streets illogically turn into other streets without notice. If you don’t know, you have to ask somebody. There is no logical way to figure it out.
