    From a broadcasting family, his father, Jimmy "The Gator" Lang (now retired), broke the radio color barrier and was a Savannah radio legend for 45 years. Prior to coming to WHUR he was host of “Lights Out Washington” on Smooth Jazz 105.9, & Program Director / Evening Personality at WJCD Smooth Jazz 105.3 in Norfolk, VA. He put in 6 great years as Production Director/On-Air Talent for WOWI 103 Jamz & VIBE 107.7/Norfolk". In the roles of Program & Music Director, he engineered the success of WPLZ-Magic 99/Richmond, WENZ/Richmond, WSOK / Savannah, GA and graced the airwaves of WIGO/Atlanta.

      Favorite Vacation Spot: Montego Bay, Jamaica
      Favorite Interview: I’ve interview hundreds of celebrities over the years, but I’d have to say the most interesting were with Barry White, Issac Hayes, Smokey Robinson, Will Smith & James Brown. My 1st celebrity interview was with Issac Hayes in 1977. I spent 6 weeks with him in the studio following his bankruptcy case in Atlanta.
      Biggest Regret: Not taking that VJ job offer from MTV in the 80’s. Dang it! I missed my chance to work with the legendary Frankie “Hollywood” Crocker. Overall i really don’t have many. I’ve learned to live with my choices because I chose to make them.
      Best Advice: Do you, stay away from negative people, do what you can and if you can’t do it don’t and follow the teachings of Christ. I’ve found life to be so much easier to deal with him as the source of my strength.
      I Dislike: Liars, lazy folks, negative pessimistic people, and dream crushers.
      Something I Would Never Do Again: Get married because it’s the right thing to do. There’s got to be mutual admiration, true love, caring, support of each other and respect.

      Favorite DC Restaurant: Cheesecake Factory

      Most Romantic Spot in DC: Anywhere by candlelight with a relaxing atmosphere.
      Biggest Pet Peeve About DC: Traffic, lack of parking, and the cost of parking.
      Favorite Junk Food: Not into junk food because it corrupts your system. I’m into wholistic medicine, herbology and natural foods, so anything natural especially organic fruits and vegetables.
      Favorite Cocktail: Chardonnay. If and when I go hard, a long island iced tea.
