    John Blake
    Location: Washington, DC
About Me Very few radio shows are popular enough to be on the air for 38 years. But John Blake’s is. Since Howard University Radio came on the air 38 years ago, John Blake has been sharing The Caribbean Experience with his listeners. The show continues to attract a Caribbean and non-Caribbean audience, bridging cultures and generations through music, news, interviews and other special features. Born Ruthven John Blake in the Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago, he grew up, attended school and started a job with the government in his home country. In 1970, John migrated to the U.S., switched to a career in broadcasting, took to the airwaves and hasn’t looked back.
