For official contest rules, you must listen to 96.3 WHUR or log on to the WHUR-FM radio website. Listeners, from within the Territory, will be encouraged to log onto WHUR.COM to participate. There will be a total of one (1) Grand Prize Winner (“GPW”). Listeners of WHUR-FM (“Promoter”) are invited to enter (“Qualifiers”) an on-line sweepstakes to qualify to win a Colonial Williamsburg Autumn Stories Package. The Prime Sponsor of this sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation - Brand Strategy and Marketing Communications Division – Williamsburg, Virginia.
Eligibility:
(a) The Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who are (i) residents of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, (ii) 18 years of age or older on the date of entry, as shown on a valid driver’s license or other means of identification with photo issued by a government agency, public or private school indicating the individual’s residential address, and (iii) have Internet access.
(b) Qualifiers must hold a valid government ID, provide their full name, address, date-of-birth, telephone number, and e-mail address. Entries without this information will be considered invalid. Promoter will be the sole judge of what entries are valid entries, and Promoter’s decision and selection will be final. Incomplete entries and entries with information reasonably determined by Promoter (in its sole discretion) to contain false information, will not be valid. Each entrant is responsible for providing accurate information as to his/her residential mailing address and how he/she may be contacted via e-mail.
(c) Employees of the WHUR-FM, Howard University, Prime Sponsor, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising, promotion and service agencies, and participating companies, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
(d) Only one entry per person/household is permitted. If multiple entries are received from the same person/ household, only the first entry will be considered.

Prime Sponsor and Promoter, and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and service agencies, companies that processes their transactions and/or maintain their account information, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents, and members of their immediate families (collectively, the “Sponsor Entities”) are not responsible or liable for:
(a) misdirected or corrupted submissions that prevent entry in the Sweepstakes, or the identification or contacting of a winner;
(b) unsuccessful efforts to notify winners;
(c) entries that are lost, late, misdirected, corrupted, or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility at Sponsor’s servers or elsewhere, and all such entries will not be eligible;
(d) any losses, damages or injuries of any kind resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes, or from an entrants’ acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any Prize;
(e) any damage to an entrant’s computer system that is occasioned by accessing the websites identified in these Official Rules or by participating in the Sweepstakes, or for any computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions; or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature; or
(d) any accommodation (or related amenity) that is cancelled, postponed, delayed, diverted, or terminated due to fire; flood; epidemic; earthquake; explosion; labor dispute or strike; bad weather, act of God or public enemy; equipment failure; riot or civil disturbance; war (declared or undeclared); terrorist threat or activity; or any federal, state or local government law, order, or regulation; order of any court or jurisdiction; or other cause not reasonably within such Sponsor Entity’s control, and in the event of any such occurrence, the Prize winners will not be entitled to any substitute prize(s) or monetary entitlement.
Sponsor Entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to any Prize, including, without limitation, as to such Prize’s merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Miscellaneous:
(a) Prime Sponsor and Promoter, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person suspected of tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest, or who is otherwise in violation of these Official Rules. Prime Sponsor and Promoter further reserve the right to cancel, terminate, or modify this Sweepstakes if it is not capable of completion as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, force majeure, or technical failures of any sort beyond the reasonable control of the Prime Sponsor or Promoter which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Sweepstakes. Prime Sponsor and Promoter reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to suspend or terminate this Sweepstakes.
(b) Federal, state and local taxes, if any, and any expenses related to acceptance and taking delivery of the Prize and to the use of the Prize not specified are the responsibility of the winner and are subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This Sweepstakes is void except in the Territory, and void where prohibited or restricted by law. The Prizes shall be awarded only to the individuals identified as Prize winners and may not be sold, assigned, transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash or other merchandise, except that Prime Sponsor, in its discretion, may substitute or exchange a prize of equal or greater value for a Prize. All entries become the property of Promoter and will not be acknowledged or returned.
(c) Winners are required to sign a liability/publicity release within three days after notification or the Prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a Prize shall constitute and signify the Prize winner’s consent that Prime Sponsor and Promoter may use the Prize winner’s name, likeness, image, voice, photographs and written statements about the Sweepstakes, the Prize and about Promoter for promotional purposes in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without payment or consideration.
d) By participating, entrants agree: (i) to the terms of the Official Sweepstakes Rules and to the decisions of Prime Sponsor and Promoter, which shall be final and binding in all respects; (ii) to release, discharge and hold harmless all Prime Sponsor Entities from all liability, claims or damages arising out of, or in connection with, their participation in this Sweepstakes and the entrants’ acceptance, use or misuse of the Prize; and (iii) that by accepting and using the Prize, their name and/or likeness may be used for advertising and publicity purposes without compensation or liability.
(e) Any and all disputes relating to this Sweepstakes and/or any Prize shall be governed by the internal laws of the District of Columbia (without resort to its rules regarding conflicts of law). Exclusive jurisdiction and venue for resolution of all such disputes shall be in the state or federal courts located in the District of Columbia.
(f) The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
