ONLY RESIDENTS OF MARYLAND, VIRGINIA AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (THE “TERRITORY”), 18 AND OLDER ON THE DATE OF ENTRY, AND WHO MEET THE ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH BELOW, ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE.
To enter, listeners from within the territory must log on to the WHUR-FM radio website. There will be a total of one (1) Grand Prize Winner (“GPW”). Listeners of WHUR-FM (“Promoter”) are invited to enter (“Qualifiers”) an on-line sweepstakes to qualify to win a Walt Disney World Resort Dream (5) day (4) night vacation for four (4) persons at a Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The Prime Sponsor of this sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is Disney Destinations Marketing, Anaheim California 92802.
Eligibility: (a) The Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who are (i) residents of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, (ii) 18 years of age or older on the date of entry, as shown on a valid driver’s license or other means of identification with photo issued by a government agency, public or private school indicating the individual’s residential address, and (iii) have Internet access. The maximum number of web entries per person is one (1). The maximum number of winners per person is one (1).
(b) Qualifier’s and their (3) three travel companions must hold valid U.S. IDs at the time of entering the contest. Entries must contain the entrant’s name, address, date of birth, telephone number and e-mail address. Entries without this information will be considered invalid. Promoter will be the sole judge of which entries are valid entries, and Promoter’s decision and selection will be final. Incomplete entries and entries with information reasonably determined by Promoter (in its sole discretion) to contain false information, will not be valid. Each entrant is responsible for providing accurate information as to his/her residential mailing address and how he/she may be contacted via e-mail.
(c) Employees of the WHUR-FM, Howard University, Prime Sponsor, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising, promotion and service agencies, and participating companies, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
(d) Only one entry per person/email address is permitted. If multiple entries are received from the same person/ email address, only the first entry will be considered.
Odds of Winning: There will be a total of one (1) GPW. The GPW will be determined by random drawing from among valid entries received from eligible participants. The odds of winning a Prize depend on the number of valid entries received from eligible participants.
Prize Winner Selection: Between March 8 and March 21, 2017, Promoter will determine which entries are valid entries and will randomly select five (5) “QPW” from the pool of the valid entries. The GPW will be announced on-air during the WHUR Mid-Day Show on or about March 21, 2017. The winners will also be notified by E-mail and/or by telephone. If any potential winner selected cannot be contacted, or does not respond within 72 hours of attempted notification, or if any Prize is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner shall forfeit any and all rights to a Prize, and at Sponsor’s sole discretion, an alternate winner may be selected.

(a) misdirected or corrupted submissions that prevent entry in the Sweepstakes, or the identification or contacting of a winner;
(b) unsuccessful efforts to notify winners;
(c) entries that are lost, late, misdirected, corrupted, or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility at Sponsor’s servers or elsewhere, and all such entries will not be eligible;
(d) any losses, damages or injuries of any kind resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes, or from an entrants’ acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any Prize;
(e) any damage to an entrant’s computer system that is occasioned by accessing the websites identified in these Official Rules or by participating in the Sweepstakes, or for any computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions; or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature; or
(d) any hotel or air accommodation (or hotel or air-related amenity) that is cancelled, postponed, delayed, diverted, or terminated due to fire; flood; epidemic; earthquake; explosion; labor dispute or strike; bad weather, act of God or public enemy; equipment failure; riot or civil disturbance; war (declared or undeclared); terrorist threat or activity; or any federal, state or local government law, order, or regulation; order of any court or jurisdiction; or other cause not reasonably within such Sponsor Entity’s control, and in the event of any such occurrence, the Prize winners will not be entitled to any substitute prize(s) or monetary entitlement.
Sponsor Entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to any Prize, including, without limitation, as to such Prize’s quality or fitness for a particular purpose.
(a) Prime Sponsor and Promoter, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person suspected of tampering with the entry process or the operation of the website, or who is otherwise in violation of these Official Rules. Prime Sponsor and Promoter further reserve the right to cancel, terminate, or modify this Sweepstakes if it is not capable of completion as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, force majeure, or technical failures of any sort beyond the reasonable control of the Prime Sponsor or Promoter which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Sweepstakes. Prime Sponsor and Promoter reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to suspend or terminate this Sweepstakes.
(b) Federal, state and local taxes, if any, and any expenses related to acceptance and taking delivery of the Prize and to the use of the Prize not specified are the responsibility of the winner and are subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void except in the Territory, and void where prohibited or restricted by law. The Prizes shall be awarded only to the individuals identified as Prize winners and may not be sold, assigned, transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash or other merchandise, except that Prime Sponsor, in its discretion, may substitute or exchange a prize of equal or greater value for a Prize. All entries become the property of Promoter and will not be acknowledged or returned.
(c) Winners are required to sign a liability/publicity release within 14 days after notification or the Prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a Prize shall constitute and signify the Prize winner’s consent that Prime Sponsor and Promoter may use the Prize winner’s name, likeness, image, voice, photographs and written statements about the Sweepstakes, the Prize and about Promoter for promotional purposes in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without payment or consideration. Travel companions may also be required to sign a liability/publicity release.
(d) GPW and their travel companions are required to have valid government issued ID in preparation for travel. (e) By participating, entrants agree: (i) to the terms of the Official Sweepstakes Rules and to the decisions of Prime Sponsor and Promoter, which shall be final and binding in all respects; (ii) to release, discharge and hold harmless all Prime Sponsor Entities from all liability, claims or damages arising out of, or in connection with, their participation in this Sweepstakes and the entrants’ acceptance, use or misuse of the Prize; and (iii) that by accepting and using the Prize, their name and/or likeness may be used for advertising and publicity purposes without compensation or liability.
(f) Any and all disputes relating to this Sweepstakes and/or any Prize shall be governed by the internal laws of the District of Columbia (without resort to its rules regarding conflicts of law). Exclusive jurisdiction and venue for resolution of all such disputes shall be in the state or federal courts located in the District of Columbia.
(g) The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.

Description of the Prizes: Subject to these Official Rules.
Disney shall be responsible, at its cost and expense (unless stated otherwise herein) for the following (5) five day (4) night Walt Disney World Resort Dream Vacation for four (4) persons to be awarded by the Promoter to the winner of the Disney Resort Showcase Promotion Sweepstakes/Contest conducted by Promoter in the Territory in connection with the Promotion, which Vacation will consist of the following:
Up to four (4) round-trip coach airfares between the major US gateway airport closest to the grand prize winners residence serviced by Southwest Airlines and the Orlando International Airport and ground transportation between the Orlando International Airport and the Premises; provided, however, if grand prize winner lives within 250 miles of the Premises, airfare and ground transportation will not be provided
Room accommodations consisting of one (1) standard room (maximum of four (4) persons per room) at a hotel at the Premises selected by Disney for up to four (4) nights; and up to four (4) 5-Day MAGIC YOUR WAY Tickets with PARK HOPPER Option.
Note: Items not included as part of the winning package are:
Hotel room service
Merchandise, souvenirs, etc.
Local and long distance telephone calls
Transportation between grand prize winner’s residence and the departure airport
All other charges and items not otherwise described above
The estimated retail value of each vacation package is $4,742.36
Winner will receive a 1099 for prize valued over $600
Winning vacation rules include, but are not limited to:
- Vacation must be taken between 2/26/2017 and 2/26/2018.
- Departure date and accommodations are subject to availability certain restrictions and block-out dates may apply.
- Vacation is for the winning person and up to three (3) persons of the winner’s choosing. Winners and their travel companions must travel together on the same itinerary.
- Minors under the age of 18 not traveling with a parent or legal guardian must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21 in the same stateroom. The parent or legal guardian of any minor not traveling with a parent or legal guardian must appoint an adult to have custody and control over their minor and to contract on their behalf in connection with the Vacation. An appointment form will be included in the document package and must be signed by the parent or legal guardian prior to embarkation at the Disney Cruise Line terminal.
- Vacation and vacation components may not be sold, traded, transferred, refunded, commissioned, redeemed for cash, or rescheduled to dates other than as set forth above.
- Winner and guests are responsible for providing proper citizenship documentation to travel, which may include passports, valid alien registration card and/or necessary visas. Those without proper citizenship documentation will be denied boarding. It is the Guests’ responsibility to check with their travel agent, government agencies, embassies or consulates prior to their vacation to ensure that they have proper citizenship documentation. Guests of all ages are required to obtain passports.
- Disney, its parent, related, affiliated and subsidiary companies and their respective officers, directors agents, employees and assigns will be released and discharged from any and all legal claims, losses, injuries, demands, damages, actions, and/or causes of actions that arise out of and/or in any way related to the prize, the receipt, use and/or enjoyment of the prize and/or the Promotion.
