Helping to Make College a Reality for Our Youth

This morning we are spotlighting a program that helps make college dreams come true for inner-city youth.  It’s called the DC College Access Program and they are gearing up for a big event at the Kennedy Center where some deserving District youth are set to perform.  My guest this morning is Argelia Rodriguez, President and CEO of the DC College Access Program

Each year, hundreds of DC’s college-hopeful HS students audition for 10 slots to perform at the Kennedy Center and compete for college scholarships including a $10K top prize. This year’s event is March 29, and the 10 finalists have been chosen.  More information, see here.

Tune in to Taking it to the Streets, weekdays at 6:46, 7:13 and 8:13 on the Steve Harvey Morning Show on 96.3 WHUR.
