DC residents here’s your chance to jump start a career in construction. My guest this morning has the details on how you can get the training you need to be a part of the construction industry. Tia Watkins is the Job Developer for Building Futures.
Building Futures is a free six-week intensive training program in the Deanwood neighborhood for low-income DC Men and Women with some work experience and a desire to start a career in construction. Candidates need to be a DC resident at least 20 years old, have a GED or high school diploma, a learner’s permit or driver’s license and be able to pass a drug test including for marijuana. Call 202-974-8224 for a phone screening by July 18th. Classes start August 1st.
