The WHUR family is joining the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s for their 5k event, in hopes of moving toward a world free of Multiple Sclerosis. The University of Maryland’s Nyumburu Cultural Center is hosting, “The James Otis Williams Youth Literacy and Performance Poetry Competition,” on Saturday, April 19, 2014. At this event, a literature conference for independent book publishers will be offered from 9:30 to 4:30 pm, and a poetry competition for students from grade school through high school, will start at 5:30 pm.
