Taking it to the Streets Weekend Haps featuring events and activities coming up this weekend for the entire family

The Affordable Housing Conference of Montgomery County is offering a free financial literacy training called, “The Next Generation of a Healthy Economy.” College students or recent college graduates will learn about financial aid, managing student loan debt, and other debt. This event will be held tomorrow May 2nd from 3 to 5 pm at the Bethesda North Marriott at 5701 Marinelli Road, in North Bethesda, Maryland. There is an optional lunch from 12:45 to 2:45 pm. The Loudoun County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc is having their 5th Anniversary Black Tie Gala fundraiser called, “Lighting the Way for Loudoun County.” And WHUR’s own Triscina Grey will be hosting the fundraiser. A Bigger Picture, Inc. is offering a youth conference called, “Unleased: Defining Your Power, Purpose, and Passion.”  It’s for girls in grades sixth through twelfth and helps with their long-term development. This event will happen on Saturday, May 3rd from 10 – 3 pm at El Haynes Public Charter School, located at 3600 Georgia Ave. NW, Washington DC.
