Today marks the 15 year anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in US history. Led by Al-Qaeda terrorists, four jet airliners carrying passengers were used in 2001. They hijacked commercial jets and used them to attack what was once known as the world’s tallest twin towers. Two jets hit the twin towers in NYC while one crashed in the The Pentagon in the nation’s capital. The fourth jet crashed in Somerset County in rural Pennsylvania. The Washington Post reports a total of 2,996 lives were lost in the 9/11 attacks and over 6,000 people were injured.

It’s 15 years later and the country continues to mourn the lives of those lost. Although we are rebuilding, things will never quite be the same. Everyone remembers where they were when they learned of the attacks. Please share with us. Where were you when you learned of the 9/11 attacks?
