TONIGHT THURSDAY is Rhonda Ross at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club at 8pm. Rhonda Ross, the daughter of Diana Ross is striking out on her own, singing w/her own sense of style and grace. She rolled through The Frank Ski Show yesterday, performed on Fox 5 this morning, and is about to put it down tonight. SING RHONDA!

Monday night was the premiere of Cleezy’s Comedy Monday hosted by WHUR’s own Joe Clair of The Frank Ski Show. The event featured Donnell Rawlings aka “Ashy Larry” from The Dave Chappelle Show, as well as Rob Gordon and Eddie Bryant. DJ Syd Vicious blessed the turntables. The place was PACKED with standing room only. Folks had a great time…If you missed it, don’t worry, it goes down every Monday at Stonefish Grill at 1708 L St NW. Doors open at 7p. Show starts at 8p. This Monday features DC’s own Mike Brooks. I will definitely be in the house for that! I hope you’re coming too!
Tuesday night WHUR hosted Ledisi’s CD release party at the Hard Rock Cafe in DC. Before the doors even opened, the line was around the block for this free WHUR exclusive event. Hosted by Michel Wright, Ledisi sang some of her classic hits as well as selections from her newly released project, The Truth.
